MealSaid Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026. MealSaid (bundle id ai.turgon.voicefit) is made by Turgon. Contact: om@turgon.ai.

The short version

You talk, we turn it into a food or workout entry, and the entry lives on your phone, in Apple Health, and in your MealSaid account on our server. You sign in once with Sign in with Apple (one tap, no password). Your account is there so your log survives a new phone or a reinstall, and so we can see which features get used. We do not sell or share data, and there is no advertising.

Your account

On first launch you sign in with Apple. Apple gives us a stable user id for your account. On the first sign-in Apple also gives us your email address and your name, if you choose to share them. If you pick "Hide My Email", we get an Apple relay address (something like xyz@privaterelay.appleid.com) and that works fine; we never need your real email. We do not ask for a password and there is no email/password login.

What leaves your phone

When you hold the mic button or take a call from the app, your voice is sent to our server so it can be understood. Two companies help with that:

Our server runs on Fly.io in Singapore. Deepgram and Anthropic receive only what they need (the audio or the text), only to do the job above, and under API terms that do not let them use it to train their models or for their own purposes.

During a call the app also sends a few numbers as context: today's calories and macros, your daily targets, and the time of day. That is so the app can say "you're 400 calories under" rather than guessing.

Tied to your account, we store on our server:

This lives in our own Postgres database on Fly.io in Singapore (the same host as the server), encrypted at rest by Fly. Nothing is sold or shared.

What never leaves your phone

How long we keep things

Your account data (the list above) is kept until you delete your account. Audio is processed in memory and discarded. We do not store recordings. Our server keeps ordinary request logs (timestamps, status codes, the text it received) for up to 30 days to fix bugs, then they are deleted. Deepgram and Anthropic keep API data for their own abuse monitoring for a limited period under their published policies (Deepgram: not retained by default for API customers; Anthropic: up to 30 days unless flagged for policy violations) and then delete it.

The synthesized voice lines are cached on our server as audio files. They contain no user data (they are the app's words, not yours).

Deleting your data

In the app, open Profile > Delete account and confirm. That deletes your account and every row about you from our servers, signs you out, and wipes the app's data on the phone. If you only want this phone to forget the log but keep the account, use Profile > Sign out. To remove what the app wrote to Apple Health, open Health > Profile > Apps > MealSaid > Delete All Data from MealSaid. You can also email om@turgon.ai and we will delete your account for you.

Push notifications

We may send occasional notifications to the app, for example about a new feature or to ask for feedback. You control these in iOS Settings > MealSaid > Notifications.

Tracking and analytics

No third-party analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter of our own. We do not use the Apple advertising identifier. The only usage data is our own usage events listed above (feature names and counts), which go to our own database and never include food names or anything personal.

Children

MealSaid is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top and note it in the App Store "What's New".
